Defense: protecting your pieces (2)

Make sure that your pieces cannot be captured. Is one of your pieces under attack? Defend it by protecting it.

What do you have to do?
Protect an attacked piece. Start by finding the hanging piece (the piece that is at risk). Which of your pieces can your opponent capture? Then, figure out how to protect this piece with another piece. If you succeed, your piece will not be taken. This is a good way to avoid material loss.
